A modern day working woman is easily distinguished by her outfits, confidence and professional accessories like briefcases. These leather accessories have become pure trademarks of those women, who work with multinational companies at high profiles and are seriously committed towards their work. However, being a woman, these professionals have an advantage of adding feminine touch to these leather cases and the result is in the form of variety of briefcases on the basis of shapes, sizes, colors and other features. This Gucci briefcase is one of said bags. Avoiding traditional dark palette, it is crafted out of white leather, perfect to go with dark nickel hardware that setting off its aristocratic complexion and elegant finish. Moreover, white shade is easy to match with any outfit and permeate ingenious beauty that almost each professional woman wishes to achieve. Distinguished from stiff rectangle silhouette, this Gucci briefcase picks more feminine and soft lines to interpret casual even sporty tone. Double handles and adjustable and detachable shoulder strap offer multiple selections to carry this bright stunner. Opening zip-top and push lock closure, three compartments deliver orderly and ideal places for small essentials. Likewise, front zip pocket provides more convenience for daily using belongings. This versatile briefcase is 15″L×7.1″w×10.2″H, spacious enough to hold working documents and a laptop even other items for normal bag using. If you are keen on this briefcase, please do not ask for in the house luoecon.blogs-entreprises.com We’ve had some harsh words to say over the past month or so about Prada‘s fall handbag collection. Some of them are covered in fur, some of them are unfortunate combinations of velvet and nylon, and a lot of them look a little “grandma.” As a result, I’m not sure if I’m being more charitable to the Prada Craquele Tote than I would be otherwise. It’s easy to argue that it’s a pretty decent bag when compared to the line’s other fall offerings, though.

We spent a day at RueLaLa last week to have a sneak peek of their upcoming and highly anticipated Hermes event. We were able to see all of the Hermes bags and accessories to share with you all before the sale on Tuesday. One of the bags that caught my attention is this vintage Hermes 20cm Mini Kelly in grey ostrich. It was evident this bag had a story to tell. Without an exact marking, the bag is dated back to the 1960′s. It is said to be very rare and designed for a child to wear while her mother carried a larger Hermes Kelly (it will be part of the Tuesday sale). We always say that handbags tell stories, but it is clear this one truly does. So take part in our Friday night story telling and tell the tale of the little girl that carried this mini Kelly. What did she look like, where was she from, what was her mom like? Paint the picture (and drool over the bag itself). Luxury Handbags Still looking for the gift that keeps on giving? Your children may be in school, may be asking for designer goods, and may be day dreaming of the latest Prada bag. Stuff their stocking with the Prada Pencil Case which is designed with red leather and gold hardware and comes with two designer pencils. This way, while the professor is rambling on about bull and bear markets, your child can be secretly enjoying their designer case. Really, it may be more distracting than anything else to the younger crowd, but to those that have school discipline it is perfect. Also great for a colleague or any Prada lover out there! Actually, any holiday-themed candy gets me giddy

January 18th, 2012

While shopping at Walgreens today, I felt an intense sense of happiness over all of the Easter candy. Actually, any holiday-themed candy gets me giddy. I love Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, but I always love the tree, heart, and egg shape more. I guess it is my inner child. Right when I laid eyes on the Prada Raso Pietre Clutch in Turchese my mind immediately thought candy (the jelly bean or Cadbury Mini Eggs variety). Do you see that too? econluo.blog.com My family is very health-conscious. When I was growing up, not one kid in the lunch room ever wanted to trade lunch items with me. Why? Because they had a Twinkie and I had cut up green pepper sticks. I was that kid, but I didn’t care. Except on Christmas morning, when I would run to find my stocking and open it, I’m not going to lie I was a bit disappointed. The bottom of my stocking would be an orange, I would have some organic dark chocolate, and that was it food wise. I wanted all that bad stuff. Give me Hersey’s Kisses, Butterfinger Bells, REESE’S Peanut Butter Cup Trees. What I would take at the bottom of my stocking this year in place of an organic orange is this Gucci Mouse Purse because it is all kinds of awesome. No need to take life too seriously, and this coin purse showcases exactly that: HAVE FUN.

As we wait for Fall 2009 bag collection to slowly (really slowly) hit stores, some collections are bound to come out earlier than others. In the past few days, a number of new Burberry bags have been popping up around the Internet, so if you see a lot of them in the near future, that’s why. One of my favorites of the new crop is the Burberry Metallic Leather Hobo. It’s well-documented that dark silver or pewter is my favorite of all the metallics and probably my favorite neutral, and this is a great example. It has a great shimmer without being too shiny and over-the-top like lighter silvers can tend to be, and it would work well in any kind of weather. Also, I’m usually very anti-logo, but I think the way that Burberry subtly embossed their signature plaid into the soft leather is really creative – it gives the bag a bit of branding and visual interest all wrapped in one Hermes Replica Bag Do you want people to actually buy your bags? Why is it that every time I go into your store the handbag selection looks like the exact same fug from last season and the season before? It is time to move on, design something new, take a chance. Because, face it, even if you fail miserably, it won’t make much of a difference. Your monogram bags are probably one of the worst logo bags out there. For some reason, they repulse me. And your Indy bags have some potential, as in the shape is ok, but why would you put a design like this on one? Your Gucci Indy Bag above shows off multicolor blue bell embroidery with bamboo tassels and metal plate details. Unfortunately, the bells resemble jellyfish, which I absolutely despise. Jellyfish sting me, and stick on my skin, and turn me red with an itchy painful rash. Is there a reason you have bells that resemble jellyfish? It feels like the scene in Finding Nemo, where Nemo and Dori have to swim through the jellyfish. Do you remember what happened to Dori? The good news is, Dori lived. This bag itself is not absolutely horrible, but I feel like your bags in general have been horrible. I was at Saks the other day and a gold Python Indy was thrown on the sale table next to some Juicy Couture handbags. Talk about slummin’ it. But please do not think you are a lost cause, because you are not.

If you pay attention to the news of Gucci House, you must have known that Gucci came up with its new Spring and Summer accessories. Having had a look at its new bags, I had to say most handbags only changed in materials but not in style, not very innovative. Nevertheless, this Gucci Sigrid Evening Bag should be a creative design, exquisite yet feminine, which will fascinate many Gucci aficionados. Crafted out of the stylish patent leather in this season, this Gucci Clutch is available in sophisticated grey and timeless black, and both of them can easily go along with most your outfits for some special occasions such as evening party or some banquet. The nickel hardware, metal and enamel detail are beset on the diagonal of this rectangle shape evening bag, revealing eye-catching yet sumptuous effect to its totality. The whole design is generous but exalted and noble. So it is definitely a perfect accessory to make sure a rise in status. Coming from the snap closure shows inside mirror, inside pocket as well as fine cotton linen lining which together complete its practicality. Holding the dimension of 13.8″L x 1″W x 6.3″H, this Gucci Sigrid Evening Bag features a suitable size for parties use. And this newest evening bag is only sold at the price of $595, so if you love, please add it into your spring and summer bag collection. Luxury Handbags The Gucci Boston Bag is seen as one of the iconic bags from the house of Gucci. While Gucci has lost some of its wow factor recently, there are still loyal followers of the brand and the Boston bag remains in the forefront. With the familiar shape, comes a familiar bag, the Gucci Horsebit Nail Medium Boston, that adds a new causal touch with its plush white leather and nail details. There is a very equestrian feel to the bag, offering Gucci’s signature horsebit detailing on the front and leather pulls on the sides. This bag is appealing and redeems a little of what Gucci has lost.

Louis Vuitton has done it again. They have made a bag that is pricey and highly sought after. Last time I was in Louis Vuitton Bal Harbour I ran into a member of Purse Forum. She was desperately looking for the Mahina, but they were out, as have been many Louis Vuitton boutiques. We reported on the Louis Vuitton Mahina when it was first released (dubbed the Louis Vuitton XL and XXL) and since then there has been Mahina mayhem. But the bags, both in XL and XXL are available in eLuxury right now. The XL costs $3100 while the XXL costs $3900. Told you, expensive, yet understated with the monogram LV and the large slouch. Grab it while you can! hie.com/luoecon The newest trend from high-end designers is posh bicycles. And the best part about all of these bicycles is they are cruisers. Because a $17,000 cruiser makes more sense than a $17,000 road bike, right? First we introduced you to the Hermes Bicycle, a dressed up 3-speed Batavus bike with Hermes stitched leather accents for $3,500. And then there was the ultra pricey Chanel Bicycle, which features two quilted flap bags and a jewelry roll behind the seat, all of which are detachable and can be used as individual shoulder bags for a whopping $17,000 (though the two flap bags and jewelry roll is a nice addition). So now I introduce you to the Gucci Cruiser Bicycle, a bike whose price range fits in between the Hermes and Chanel bikes. This is another cruiser sporting Gucci accents all over. The bronze metal frame does look nice with the chocolate Guccissima leather seat, handlebars, seat pack, and pannier. And the price on this bike, a whopping $6365. I am thinking. This is a bicycle, right? Does Gucci placing some leather on it make it a collectors item? Where would you ride this precious bike to? I totally understand spending money on a racing bike or mountain bike, because there is a seemingly understandable point behind it. But a cruiser. I will tell you what, I am not running out to splurge on this bike. And of all of the designer bicycles, I would opt for the Hermes, because it is the CHEAPEST.

January 17th, 2012

If you were hoping that military chic was going to go the way of the dodo bird sometime soon, well, prepare to be disappointed. Prada’s fall collection just started trickling out to online retailers, and the most obvious element of the line so far is its use of camouflage. Whether this is good or bad probably depends on your feelings about military chic, but despite being a fan of the trend, I’m not entirely convinced. I’ve always been of the opinion that camouflage is best left for actual troops and No Limit Soldiers only (ok, I admit that joke would have been funnier a few years ago, but I’ve been waiting forever for the right opportunity to use it and the waning cultural relevance of a particular hip hop crew is not going to stop me now) and I like my military-inspired looks to be more vintage-inspired than Iraq-inspired. With the Prada Large Saffiano Camouflage Tote, it appears that Miuccia does not agree with me. With the Prada Large Saffiano Camouflage Tote, it appears that Miuccia does not agree with me. www.top-replicahandbags.co Frankly speaking, it is seldom seen so bright palette from Gucci for years. In this spring, its Techno Tag Medium Boston Bag really gives us a big surprise. Just in my first sight of magenta color, I feel warm air and fresh scene in a time of renewal. I even can see a stylish girl toting striking Gucci bag ambling along the tree-shaded path with dazzling sunshine in a quiet afternoon. Picked magenta neoprene GG going harmoniously with magenta leather trim, it keeps original Gucci Boston silhouette accented with nickel hardware offering totally creative effect among its spring/summer 2010 collection which must capture youth vote. Magenta color exudes full femininity and girlish roguishness making a loud statement of vividness and adorability. For traveling using, it provides huge dimension of 13″L×6.7″W×8.4″H to hold even thousands belongings. In addition, three multi-functional pockets featuring Gucci crest lining guarantee convenient catching for small essentials in the roomy capacity.

The most recognized shape from Louis Vuitton is their Speedy, a very iconic bag to the brand. And following the Speedy in popularity is the classic Louis Vuitton Alma. The Alma is one of my favorite bags from Louis Vuitton. The shape is as distinctive as they come in the handbag world. It is a true handheld bag which is perfect for the working woman or the trendy gal. Per usual, the Alma has been recreated in every rendition possible, from tacky to stunning. While the Vernis line has not been a line from LV that I covet, it is a coveted line econluo.blog.com It could be. And while it’s a cute bag, I have a tiny problem with it. The Marc Jacobs Parachute Cammie Crossbody Bag looks, to me, like it was made out of greenish golden tin foil. Someone just bunched that stuff up and stuck it under the zipper. But there’s a general problem with this. First of all, it’s called the Parachute, so the designer must know that it looks like it was made out of flimsy parachute material (which pretty much looks like tin foil to my inexperienced eye – when it comes to adventurous air travel). The other problem is that I’m disappointed with the stock photo.

January 16th, 2012

In general, I think that phrase “too much is never enough” is useful when trying to explain certain sectors of fashion, particularly to those who aren’t interested in the industry or in understanding the genius of fabulous fashion eccentrics like Anna Dello Russo or Daphne Guinness. Rococo is always alive and well somewhere within the style world, even during harsh economic times, and its exuberant resilience is to the industry’s credit. Sometimes rococo runs headlong into a wall, though, as with the Marc Jacobs Large Sequined Stam. I like the Stam bags (I even have one from way back in the second season that they were around), I like sequins, I like the blush-nude color that we have going on here. But unfortunately, the end result is less than the sum of its parts. Hermes Replica Looking through the pictures of an Hermes runway show can be almost anticlimactic – we know that Jean Paul Gaultier is going to do something brilliant and that Hermes only uses the absolute best in luxury materials and finishes. They’ve set such a high bar for themselves that even though the team behind the brand almost always turns out brilliant work, I find that the attitude tends to be, “Of course it’s good. It’s Hermes.” Their perfection can feel repetitive at times. For Fall/Winter 2010, however, Hermes did something that had a few people wrinkling their noses. Instead of the traditionally luxurious inspirations that we’ve seen them use recently, Gauliter went for a collection based on The Avengers and Emma Peel and created a retro superhero fantasy covered in the finest black leather. I’m not one of those people that’s going to question them – I adored it, from beginning to end. It may have used more leather than some people would have preferred, but leather goods are their bread and butter – why not extend that to normal garments, as well?

When you see a petite quilted flap bag with a chain strap that is intertwined with the same material as the bag itself, it’s difficult not to think only of Chanel. The Prada Printed Chain Shoulder Bag didn’t immediately cause that association in my head, though. Rather, my first thought was, “Ooh, nice print.” Whether or not you like this bag probably hinges largely on whether or not you like Prada’s famous patterns, which are always sharp and interesting, as opposed to girly or traditionally pretty. I love them, no matter how difficult they may make it to fit a bag like this into a wardrobe. During warmer months, I think I could make it happen, though. bagshandbags.sexbiro.com My eyes are not deceiving me. This is indeed the Gucci Papillon Evening Bag that has caught my attention. There are a few reasons that this is a great evening bag. First is the price; which is by no means super cheap, but in the world of handbag lovers $750 for a bag from a huge designer house and with exotics is relatively inexpensive. Second, the look of the bag is alluring. It mixes the bamboo detail to give it the tropical resort feel, but doing so in black keeps it classy for evening wear. The bags body is designed with black satin and the flap is designed with black ayers (snake skin). Dimensions are 9½”W X 4½”H X ½”D. This is a great evening bag for resort wear and especially great for the lucky ones that live in the tropics.

January 16th, 2012

In fashion, sometimes the worst thing you can say about a design is that it’s…fine. At least when a bag is cosmically awful, the designers tried a little bit of something. A chance was taken, a personality was exposed, and even if those kinds of adventures don’t always work out, it’s always encouraging to see a design who’s willing to gamble. The Gucci Madison Ostrich Tote isn’t a bad bag by any stretch of imagination. I wouldn’t hesitate to carry it and I’d be proud to own it if it somehow came to be mine without any money changing hands, but I couldn’t imagine swiping a card to make this particular purse mine. The design doesn’t have enough visual interest to be eye-catching and the lines aren’t sharp enough to call it minimalist. It’s just…fine. And “fine” isn’t worth four grand. bagshandbags.sexbiro.com Louis Vuitton may be known for their monogram but their logo free designs lure in many LV lovers worldwide. Between the Epi Line and the Suhali Line, Louis Vuitton is able to reach out to those who yearn for a designer bag from a top house without the logo being splashed on. The Louis Vuitton Epi line has an array of bags under the $1,000 mark. but the goat leather of the Suhali line makes the prices jump a bit. But if you are looking for a stunning handbag from Louis Vuitton, the Suhali line is it. For a more entry level item (and lower price), the Louis Vuitton Suhali Clutch is a great start. This is not the clutch to take to the college town bar, though you can, rather it is the timeless elegant clutch that can be used year after year. The Suhali goat leather is hand selected and used in this clutch to resemble the curved shape of the well-known LV Lockit. The leather is soft yet sturdy and offset with golden brass hardware. There is a removable and adjustable wrist strap, which is always a major plus. Dimensions are great, measuring 9.4″x 5.1″x 1.8″. This is a clutch that I would recommend to anyone looking for a leather clutch that works for nearly all occasions and all clothing options.

A few days ago I once posted an article about Gucci Sigrid High Heel Platform Sandals which left me the impression of Transformers. This time comes another accessory share the similar features. This Gucci Purse named Techno Horsebit Large Tote is characterized with the metal and leather ornaments to create the image of Transformers at front of the bag. This Gucci Bag is coated in white neoprene GG and trimmed with white leather. All white bag should reveal some elegance but it will go wrong with this purse. As mentioned at beginning, the metal and leather ornaments make it a little weird as well as tough, but also bring us a distinctive bag. At the same time, the tassels with bamboo detail at side add a touch of sophistication into the whole design and the functional yet fashionable double woven leather handles with 9.8 inches drop complete its unique appearance. With the measurement of 15.3″L x 6.7″W x 14.6″H, this Gucci Techno Horsebit Large Tote has the fine cotton linen lining, inside zip, cell phone and pda pockets to complete its function. And the bottom feet are ingeniously designed to provide extra protection for its appearance. Its versatile looking enables it to go well with most outfits, thus such a special purse must weigh a hefty price, $2790 luoecon.sport.fr In general, I really don’t like so-called “neutral bags.” The leather has to be truly special, the design truly innovative and beautiful for me to look at one twice, and if it’s not, I bore really easily. My aversion is a result of the belief that there are so many bags out there made in so many beautiful colors, why would anyone choose one in a color that is supposed to, by definition, blend in and hide? But when I do like a neutral, that neutral is almost always some version of pewter or gunmetal, and the Burberry Metallic Leather Hobo is a great example of that color. It’s not a bright silver at all – it has a lot of grey in it, but enough shine and innate glimmer to make it decidedly glam and metallic. I can see it going with almost anything, but I can’t imagine it blending in and hiding at all, as the “neutral” moniker would indicate. So if you’re going to do something neutral, please do something with at least a LITTLE BIT of a kick.

For some reason all of the women (and

January 13th, 2012

When I was a little girl, I remember my first trip to London. For some reason all of the women (and men!) wearing Burberry really still sticks out in my mind. I wasn’t aware that it was a super designer brand, but I remember tugging on my mom and telling her I wanted something like it to. My mom informed me that a girl my age didn’t need something like that. What is that about? Depriving your child from something like Burberry??! JK mom, I won’t still hold it against you. But with time, the checkered pattern started to un-grow on me (yes, as in the opposite of grow). I guess it became too plentiful, although I still love my cashmere scarf from them. When I saw this bag, it didn’t call out to me like Burberry has in the past, but I still felt drawn to it. From the Burberry Prorsum Handbag line, I seem to have a liking to the Burberry Heather Suede Bag. This little number is made olive suede and is accented with a brown leather adjustable strap and brown leather trim. For a little more accenting, there is brass hardware that looks more like vintage gold than brass. Just in case you want to carry your pet hermit crab that needs to keep warm this fall, the inside is lined in wool flannel. The dimensions are 13 1/2″ x 7″ x 4″. If you are like me and you like this bag, bagshandbags.sexbiro.com What have you done Gucci? You have made me fall in love with you and your bags, a sort of unrequiting love. I am still absolutely enamored with the purple Hysteria Bag, with its supple leather and slouchy shape. But now there is a new Gucci handbag to obsess over, and that is just what I am doing, totally and absolutely obsessing. The Gucci Jockey Python Bag meets all of my handbag needs; exotic skin, easy-to-wear shape, casual style. It is as if the Gucci Gods know they are tempting me and have gone into my head, followed me through my dreams, and placed the perfect black bag in front of me. The single strap is non-adjustable, but it fits perfectly over your shoulder without riding up too high or snug. The horsebit detail, a house staple, is an aspect that I have adored from Gucci and love that it is incorporated for this handbag. On the inside there are zip and cell phone pockets and the dimensions are large, 18¼”W X 14½”H X 4½”D. Now what I really love is that I can see this being the black bag for so many of us. Working for day, transitioning to night, lasting for seasons.

In hindsight, perhaps last season’s demure, ladylike Louis Vuitton show should have tipped us off that Louis Vuitton Spring 2011 would be a wild, colorful ride through safari and Asian kitsch. Creative director Marc Jacobs doesn’t like to go in any one direction for more than a few moments at a time, and a collection with a strong point of view is always a good indication that the next collection will be just as strong, but in the opposite direction. Instead of last season’s dozens of neutral variations on the classic Speedy theme, Vuitton gave us loud, colorblocked clutches and small shoulder bags that screamed in artfully clashing technicolor. Logos were visible (this is Louis Vuitton, after all), but other than a few clutches that proclaimed VUITTON in all capitals, the famous monogram was less obtrusive than it usually is in the average LV collection. These bags will surely leave some heads shaking, particularly among clients who saw Fall 2010 as a possible return to the brand’s roots, but they’re exactly on trend and so cheerful that I can’t help but like them. Cheap Belts What’s a girl have to do in order to thank Marc Jacobs in person for his brilliance? Well, I assume I need to be famous or figure out how to rub elbows with the elite fashion crew out there. While I try to figure out how to make that all happen, I’ll just have to settle for staring at some beyond fabulous handbag creations Mr. Jacobs continues to bring us. As I sit here and type, part of the house is without air conditioning. It’s in the 80s here in Ft. Lauderdale and stagnant heat is not something I am a fan of unless I am poolside with a frosty beverage in hand. While that is not currently the case, coming across this Marc Jacobs bag has given me yet another reason to get out of the house and trade in the inside heat for the outside heat

January 13th, 2012

Natural materials are the latest trend of this spring, so fashion houses are desperate to jump onto the eco-friendly bandwagon with a variety of unconventional materials such as the Gucci Straw Large Tote. Unlike other bags with similar material, this Gucci Bag manages to underwhelm the natural properties of the material and keep their sophisticated pattern. This Gucci Handbag is done in natural straw design and in woven detailing throughout, which is a classic and definitely very popular for the spring and summer. This is then trimmed in smooth contrasting white leather and the same leather material goes with the handle and with the embossed logo tag on the center front. Contrast white stitching is as well present to give this an additional design and style. Measuring about 14 x 11 x 6 inches, this gucci bags should indeed carry your vacation essentials. Inside are zipped and cell phone pockets for more storage. The handles then have six inches of drop, enough to carry it over the shoulders. Louis Vuitton Handbags I am a lover of metallics, but I am picky about which metallic colors I like. I am much more of a pewter lover than a silver lover and more of a copper lover than a gold lover. The deeper hues are sultry, sexy, and elegant in metallics. Just much more my style. And with the Prada Nappa Mordore Hobo it is as if Prada came to me, asked me what I thought, and then proceeded to carry out my wants and desires. Why thank you Prada for taking my likings into account. And even more of my likings are on this handbag. The overall design is nothing amazing, but the hobo stands out with the leather pieces which are stitched together to create a stripe pattern. But this bag does it for me. I don’t need all the extras on my bags, just a bag that does its job but still stands out and grabs attention. And you know what this bag does, it adds that slight shine and glimmer that makes for a perfect metallic bag. There is a snap closure and two inside pockets. Available in anthracite and copper; if I were buying this bag I would most likely opt for copper.

We have a treat for your eyes! Hermes has become ubiquitous with the ultimate designer handbags. The luxury associated with Hermes is known worldwide, continues throughout the years and seasons, and transcends across generations. My collection of Hermes bags is small, but includes all Holy Grail bags for me; a Blue Jean Birkin, a Kelly Wallet in Orange Alligator, and my stunning white Kelly Longue. Next on my wishlist from the brand is a travel size bag. Something big, something to take for weekend trips, something reminiscent of what the brand is known for but offering a new shape to my collection. Top of my list is the Haut A Courroies, better known to the masses as the HAC. And the ultimate HAC from Hermes would be the crocodile HAC that was at Christie’s. Continue Reading clicabo.com/ice99632854 While so many of the accessories we lust and obsess over are not essential, when you are a new mommy a diaper bag is essential. You have to be prepared at all times with diapers, bottles, food, toys, wipes, pacifiers, and whatever else I am leaving out. For the new mom who does not want to spend too much and wants a stylish yet casual bag the Burberry Denim Messenger Diaper Bag is a bull’s eye. Rather than overpowering the outside, the inside of this diaper bag is lined with the signature Novacheck pattern while the outside shows off practical and casual blue denim. Because this bag is all about practicality, there are two side pockets, a path pocket on the front flap, and a terry cloth changing pad included. The dimensions are 11″H x 5 1/2″W x 11″D. I may not be a mommie but I am half tempted to buy this bag for everyday use.

Why is that? Well, the sales increase isn’t worldwide

January 11th, 2012

I can’t decide if this news is counter-intuitive or not, but Forbes is reporting that Hermes will post an increase in sales during the first quarter of 2009, a time when many retailers and brands were feeling a big-time sales crunch. Why is that? Well, the sales increase isn’t worldwide. Sales fell modestly in Europe and experienced a double-digit decline in luxury-goods-obsessed Japan, but the brand saw increases large enough in non-Japanese Asia to more than make up for decreases elsewhere. The increases were seen mostly in South Korea and China, which many industry watchers regard as somewhat of a Last Frontier of luxury retail. So what does this tell us? First of all, we should all remember that signs of strength in the global economy probably mean good things for those of us in America. Our economy is incredibly interconnected with those of other nations, particularly China, and we can’t start to make a significant recovery without signs that are trading partners are also ready to move forward economically. Sales increases of luxury goods mean that consumers in other countries feel confident in the direction in which the economy is headed, and maybe a little bit of that consumer confidence will rub off on other markets. Lastly, it’s a good reminder to all businesses that there are still markets out there that are spending money. Finding them may be a challenge, but it can and will be done. So congratulations, Hermes, on a game well played. Replica Hermes When I saw the Burberry Heart-Studded Satchel for the first time, I had the same internal monologue that I had while flipping through accessories pictures from the brand’s Spring 2011 runway show. It went something like, Really? That’s it? Christopher Bailey can do wonders with every other segment of the brand, but this is all that us handbag folks get? Sadly, yes, this is all we get. Despite some accessory success several seasons ago and a few nice-yet-completely-unmemorable bags popping up every few months, Burberry’s handbag efforts have left much to be desired for some time now. I can only hope that the best is yet to come and that Bailey will throw us a bone of some sort in the near future. In the meantime, what in the world does he want us to do with this?

Tomorrow Vlad and Shannon will be attending an intimate cocktail hour hosted by Daniel LaLonde of Louis Vuitton for online publishers. Louis Vuitton is slowly making its way into the online world of publishers and social media (last week Louis Vuitton announced that it is officially on Twitter). We are extremely honored to be invited to this event as we have been longtime followers and fans of Louis Vuitton. Vlad was granted photography access as well, which means exclusive photos for all of you! While photos are an intricate look into this gathering, questions directly asked to the CEO would share even more information on the much-loved Louis Vuitton. We can make no promises, but what if we were able to ask the CEO of Louis Vuitton some questions? If we are lucky we may snag a few minutes of Daniel LaLonde’s time and if we like your questions, we may put them on our list! Hermes Replica Bag Do you want people to actually buy your bags?

I just realized that

January 11th, 2012

It has been a long time since we covered an ostrich skin bag on PurseBlog. I just realized that. We spoke about some ostrich bags seen in Fall/Winter 2010 runway shows, but before that we hadn’t shown one since December. And while many of you do not like the look or idea of ostrich skin, I always had an affinity to certain ostrich skin bags. Maybe not so much anymore? Because as I sit here looking at the Prada Struzzo Executive Tote I am totally underwhelmed. And underwhelmed by both the skin and the design. Actually, Prada in general continues to let me down. I popped into the Prada boutique last weekend with a couple of friends and made my way around the store quicker than any other store we went into. The collection was part odd part lackluster. And all I kept thinking is what happened? I used to find joy in so many Prada designs and used to look to Prada each season with anticipation. Gucci Replica I’ve been writing about more Burberry bags lately than I ever have before, and I’ve been trying to figure out why. Larger collection this season? No, I remember a lot of bags from previous season. New handbag designer at the brand? I can’t find any information about that online, so I guess it’s possible that someone with a new point-of-view has come in to shake things up. But overall, I think the reason that I’ve noticed them more than I have in previous seasons is that they’re just BETTER than they have been. I’m much more impressed than I previously have been with them. So today, in our Endless Parade of Burberry Handbags That Amanda Likes, we have the Burberry Prorsum Willow Leather Clutch. Like the brand’s other recently featured bags, they’ve worked the leather in a way that gives the bag an enormous amount of texture – the little leather squares flake up like python scales, but would theoretically be much more durable than the often-delicate exotic. It’s got a little wrist strap and a cell phone pocket inside, plus it’s a great neutral color with an interesting textural concept – where do I sign up for one?

As a slavish fan of the Tom Ford era at Gucci, I’ve got to say that Spring 2010 is easily the best collection we’ve seen from current designer Frida Giannini. Instead of the girly, at times hippie-chic clothes that have come out of her tenure at the company so far, what we saw this season was modern, athletic, and a tad science fiction. Normally those would be words from which I would shy away as descriptors of beautiful clothing, but the high-waist leggings, voluminous jackets and body-conscious dresses make sci fi chic and aspirational – if only Ra’mon from Project Runway had made something like this on last week’s episode, he might not have been auf’d. But he didn’t, and Frida did, because there’s a reason that she’s employed by one of the largest and most recognizable luxury brands in the world. She started, as has proven popular this season, with white (it would be a full nine looks before another color appeared) and slowly moved herself into light greys before going for bolder books in black, orange, and even a little bit of pink. Print was limited mostly to ikat here and there on smart shift dresses, and the majority of looks were solid and neutral. Replica Gucci Hey, if you are tired of carrying this kind of extremely feminine and elegant evening clutch like the designer bags from Chanel and Valentino, then you really should not miss this Gucci “Sigrid” Evening Bag. It is so chic and modern that it will of course show your characteristics and personalities well. This Gucci Evening Bag featuring metal and leather ornament is among its latest Spring Summer 2010 Collection. The decoration on this Sigrid bag is the modernized abstract art, I guess. The bag is made of black suede and trimmed with silver tone nickel hardware. It measures 13.8 inches in length, 1 inch in width and 4.7 inches in height so that it is spacious enough for holding your necessities like tissues and credits card and keys as well. The bag has soft cotton linen lining and inside pocket. It is safety ensured by a snap closure. I bet you would like this designer evening bag.
