A celeb knows that any time they leave their house, they have the chance to be photographed. Because of this, a early morning run to the grocery store or a trip to the airport means there needs to be ample primping and preparing in order to look decent to the millions of people that will view their pictures. Cameron Diaz is a favorite of the paparazzi, and while she is not in the league of LiLo or TomKat, she is a celeb worth taking shots of. Cameron does not even catch a break in the airport, as the photogs follow her in and continue snapping. What I love to see is that Cameron did not neglect one handbag as a kick around bag, she has three bags which are all high end designer. The handbag that stands out the most that Cameron Diaz totes is the Burberry Knight Studded Bag which is adorned with studs all over the black leather. This handbag is a must have, as it brings forward the rocker chic yet keeps its cool with a toned down outfit. There are double handles, and two separate compartments on the inside. And while this handbag steals the show, her Louis Vuitton Monogram Canvas Pegase rolling suitcase and Chanel Denim Cabas are the perfect carry on bags for traveling. Cameron manages to stay chic while flying. And while this is a great thing, it would be a pain to always have to attempt to look put together, even when you just want to dress down and run and errand or two Hermes Replica Bag Do you want people to actually buy your bags? Why is it that every time I go into your store the handbag selection looks like the exact same fug from last season and the season before? It is time to move on, design something new, take a chance. Because, face it, even if you fail miserably, it won’t make much of a difference. Your monogram bags are probably one of the worst logo bags out there. For some reason, they repulse me. And your Indy bags have some potential, as in the shape is ok, but why would you put a design like this on one? Your Gucci Indy Bag above shows off multicolor blue bell embroidery with bamboo tassels and metal plate details. Unfortunately, the bells resemble jellyfish, which I absolutely despise. Jellyfish sting me, and stick on my skin, and turn me red with an itchy painful rash. Is there a reason you have bells that resemble jellyfish? It feels like the scene in Finding Nemo, where Nemo and Dori have to swim through the jellyfish. Do you remember what happened to Dori? The good news is, Dori lived. This bag itself is not absolutely horrible, but I feel like your bags in general have been horrible. I was at Saks the other day and a gold Python Indy was thrown on the sale table next to some Juicy Couture handbags. Talk about slummin’ it. But please do not think you are a lost cause, because you are not.

I’m underwhelmed, and I hate being underwhelmed. I’m not a huge fan of Prada‘s Fall 2009 offerings, and I’m even less of a fan of Prada Spring 2010. So much so that it kind of makes my head hurt. Memo to the fashion industry: no one wants clear vinyl bags. No one. You guys tried this crap a few seasons ago and thought it would be cute, and they all ended up on the sale rack at the end of the season, and they didn’t even move particularly quickly once discounted. A clear, architectural hard plastic clutch meant to hold three things for a night out, a la Fendi‘s Spring 2010 presentation? That’s clear done well. But a vinyl gray-tinted clear satchel meant to hold the dreck of everyday life, like tampons and your ATM receipts? No thanks. Do not want. Ever. But that, with some jewels stuck to the top and a canvas tote or two thrown in for good measure, is basically what we got. Since Prada does such a big bag collection for every season, this is probably only the tip of the iceberg and several other non-runway mini lines will eventually surface, but if this is any indication of what’s to come, I’ll take a pass. Gucci Handbags 2011 I am a lover of metallics, but I am picky about which metallic colors I like. I am much more of a pewter lover than a silver lover and more of a copper lover than a gold lover. The deeper hues are sultry, sexy, and elegant in metallics. Just much more my style. And with the Prada Nappa Mordore Hobo it is as if Prada came to me, asked me what I thought, and then proceeded to carry out my wants and desires. Why thank you Prada for taking my likings into account. And even more of my likings are on this handbag. The overall design is nothing amazing, but the hobo stands out with the leather pieces which are stitched together to create a stripe pattern. But this bag does it for me. I don’t need all the extras on my bags, just a bag that does its job but still stands out and grabs attention. And you know what this bag does, it adds that slight shine and glimmer that makes for a perfect metallic bag. There is a snap closure and two inside pockets. Available in anthracite and copper; if I were buying this bag I would most likely opt for copper.

” It’s a song you’ll probably hear on

Friday, June 10th, 2011

So, I got TI’s new CD, “Paper Trail,” a few days ago and there’s a song on it that I really like called “Swing Ya Rag.” It’s a song you’ll probably hear on radio eventually, and if you like to go out and dance, you’ll probably hear it even sooner. When singing along in my car (yes, I rap alone in my car. You should try it), I can’t help but notice how much he mentions Louis Vuitton and Gucci “rags,” which I’m assuming must be scarves. Mostly, while rapping, I mistakenly say “bag” instead of “rag” because I think I’ve developed some weird sort of mild, purse-related Tourette’s, but I digress. These “rags” are apparently swung above the head, in lieu of dancing, at clubs. So, I couldn’t help but ask myself: if I were to swing a rag, what rag would I swing? And today, I would swing the Louis Vuitton Candy Scarf/rag. It has a fun, pop-art sensibility to it that reminds me of the jelly-filled jewelry I used to have as a little kid in the 80s. That jewelry had glitter and other tiny, shiny treasures floating in the brightly-colored goo inside, the the arrangement of the LV logos and stars in this scarf look like someone has squeezed all the floating goodness towards the edges. It’s casual, glam, and a lot of fun – perfect for the type of rag-swinging that TI seems to be advocating Gucci Bags 2011 The question of the day is “Do you wear matching designer accessories?” For example, same designer shoes, handbags, glasses, jewelery, belt, scarf, etc? I realized that my closet is full of designer accessories, but not many matching accessories. Definitely need to put a stop to this! There is a fine line between over-logo over-matching and just the right combination. For a perfect combination, check out the Gucci Tote and Boots which remind me of riding days (ah yes, equestrian is stylish right now). The Gucci Medium Top-Handle Tote has vintage appeal with the GG detailing surrounded by supple brown Italian leather and the detachable shoulder strap. The dimensions of this bag are perfect for everyday wear at 12 4/5″H x 16 4/5″W x 2″D. Being 5’10, finding low heeled or no heeled but still chic boots is nearly impossible. These Gucci Black Leather Flat Boots are trimmed in chocolate brown leather and present a sophisticated equestrian touch.

One of the biggest developments in handbag trends over the past few seasons has been the return of the reasonably sized handbag, called the “lady-scale” bag by some, in reference to the refined women who once carries purses of a similar size. Marc Jacobs was a major producer of giant, shoulder-aching handbags back when they were having their moment in the sun, but now that the entire spectrum of possible sizes is available retail, he’s downsized a bit with the Marc Jacobs Baroque Ingrid and the slightly more petite Marc Jacobs Baroque Faye. The big question, of course, is do you like them? Hermes Bag 2011 We’ve had some harsh words to say over the past month or so about Prada‘s fall handbag collection. Some of them are covered in fur, some of them are unfortunate combinations of velvet and nylon, and a lot of them look a little “grandma.” As a result, I’m not sure if I’m being more charitable to the Prada Craquele Tote than I would be otherwise. It’s easy to argue that it’s a pretty decent bag when compared to the line’s other fall offerings, though.

2%, to a total of 17

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

Over the weekend, LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SA, the world’s largest luxury goods conglomerate, announced that it would increase its share in family-owned leather giant Hermes 14.2%, to a total of 17.1% stock ownership. LVMH, which owns such famous labels as Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Givenchy and Fendi, claims that it will not seek control of Hermes or board representation, but news of the sharp increase in the conglomerate’s ownership of the brand has many wondering if that will remain true for long. Luxury isn’t just a lifestyle, it’s also big business, and Hermes has been among the most profitable properties on the high-end mass market through the recent economic downturn. Part of the Hermes allure for many clients stems from the fact that the Hermes family still runs the company, even in this day of corporate fashion and massive conglomeration. LVMH doesn’t just buy up shares of luxury brands for fun, and although owning a chunk of Hermes stock is certainly a strong bet in today’s luxury market, one can’t help but wonder about LVMH’s larger goals. Although the company’s spokespeople claim that LVMH merely has its sights on being a longterm Hermes stockholder, luxury watchers would be advised to take that with a proverbial grain of salt. Bottega Veneta Replica Handbags Back in 2006, Prada made lots of waves among handbag aficionados with their ruched Gaufré handbags. Rendered in super-supple lambskin, the design was a great example of how texture can be achieved through clever design, even within the sometimes austere Prada aesthetic. The bags were neutral but still interesting to look at, and the combination made them some of my favorites that the brand has ever produced. Gaufré’s initial production run was only a few season, but now they’re back in new colors and shapes for Fall/Winter 2010. We’ve seen several “old favorites” from the past five years make a return to production in recent months, and this line is the only one whose return brings me any sort of genuine excitement. Are you excited for the Gaufré’s return?

This right here, folks, is why they hate us. And when I say “they,” I’m not talking about terrorists. I’m talking about everyone. Because there are few things more imminently hateable than a $450 beach towel. The Louis Vuitton Ipanema Beach Towel, to be specific. And I totally get that’s it’s all in good fun and totally hilarious and kitschy, but seriously, a beach towel? Something made specifically for putting on the ground and messing up with Corona, sunscreen, and sand? At this point, all it elicited from me was a serious eye-roll. I know that people with money to spend will spend it as they please, as well they should, but I think we may be beginning to stretch the bounds of reasonableness. Maybe I just feel like that because of the price, however – if this was $150, I probably just would have chuckled and moved on, and wouldn’t even be writing about it right now. But it’s not, it’s three times that, and that’s not a typo. Replica Hermes Handbags It seems as though Kanye West‘s recent advent to Twitter has been mighty controversial – some people think he’s hysterical, some people think he tweets too much, and still others have yet to get over that whole Taylor Swift thing. I find myself residing firmly in the first group, and the only thing that surprises me in the least about his account is that he hasn’t had one all along. Twitter was made for Kanye West. In between telling us that he jogs in Lanvin and imploring us to check out his “credenza game,” Yeezy actually managed to tweet a picture that you guys might be interested in – the vintage Hermes travel bag above. The handle looks a bit worse for the wear, but I’m digging the distressing on the rest of the bag and how aged the leather is. If you have any information on the name of this model or the year it might have been made, let us know in the contents – Kanye, naturally, was short on details.

As much as many Prada bags go a bit

Thursday, June 2nd, 2011

Could we go as far as to label this Prada bag a bag deal? I don’t see why not. As much as many Prada bags go a bit too far, are a bit too overpriced, are simply bags with the Prada logo, this wristlet is cute and perfect for so many occasions. The Prada Tessuto Wristlet is a winning design for many reasons, namely the look is chic, the materials will last, and the price is ideal. As much as I prefer leather, the nylon will make this bag perfect for a night out with friends and really ideal for a bar. No worries about party fouls, because you can just wipe this wristlet and move on. And then comes into play the fact that there is a strap, which I adore. There are not many clutches out there with wrist straps anymore, but there should be. Hands free is the way to go and it is hard to come by. There is a zipper closure and Prada jacquard lining. Measurements are 8¾”W X 10″H X 1″D. But the real deal sealer? Sunglasses Replica Along with his continual throwback to the’60s this spring, Marc by Marc Jacobs again channels color blocking in a clever combination of hues. The “R Special Color block” collection palette reminds me of the circa 1962 Eero Saarinen designed terminal at JFK. Or at least the colors of the very chic flight attendants of that era. Very retro, in a sophisticated kind of way. It may not be for everyone, but the graphic sensibility of a color blocked handbag really appeals to me. Definitely pair these bags for a casual downtown look. Think distressed boyfriend jeans and a cozy slouchy cashmere cardigan sweater. This summer wear it with flowy puffy sleeved a-line mini dresses and gladiator sandals. I am looking forward to NYFW in February to see what MJ has up his sleeve for us in Fall 2010!

By now, most of you have probably seen some version of the Marc Jacobs Coated Leather MJ Satchel in person, and if you have, you know exactly what I mean when I say that it doesn’t remind me of any designer back I’ve seen in the last few years, and maybe ever. I’m not sure if that’s a good or bad thing, but I always appreciate innovation. The most striking thing about this bag when you see it in person is how perfectly smooth the leather is; in fact, I didn’t really believe it was leather when I first picked up one of these. But it is, just super slick and without any sign of grain or natural imperfection. Whether or not you’ll like that depends on your personal style, I suppose. Personally, I find this bag and the materials used to make it absolutely fascinating; I merely wish it came in a black and grey version. Replica Wallets It could be. And while it’s a cute bag, I have a tiny problem with it. The Marc Jacobs Parachute Cammie Crossbody Bag looks, to me, like it was made out of greenish golden tin foil. Someone just bunched that stuff up and stuck it under the zipper. But there’s a general problem with this. First of all, it’s called the Parachute, so the designer must know that it looks like it was made out of flimsy parachute material (which pretty much looks like tin foil to my inexperienced eye – when it comes to adventurous air travel). The other problem is that I’m disappointed with the stock photo.

But I keep craving a new structured evening bag

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

I continue to find myself checking out the most elegant evening bags, despite the fact that I typically have no where to wear them. But I keep craving a new structured evening bag. Why? I have no idea. I must subconsciously be telling myself to let my hair down, put on a long dress, and go out somewhere fancy (meaning that the casual appeal of Florida has completely set in and thus far I am living a casual chic life). But coming back from Key West, where no shirt and no shoes really is no problem, opting for a new classy clutch is like night and day. The new clutch on the red carpets is the Louis Vuitton Monogram Motard Clutch, being carried by tall, lean, model types and all other lovers of Louis Vuitton. This is one of the ideal clutches that calls to me; structured, elegant, and classic. The outside is designed with monogram-embroidered silk satin, which is perfect for those of you who are not super keen on the LV monogram. The structured frame-top body is designed with shiny golden brass hardware. There are two other major perks, including the removable long link chain shoulder strap and golden lambskin lining. Small clutches transformed into shoulder bags do not look great on everyone (unless you are super tall and super lean, I am talking about myself too), but it is a great plus. And the luxurious leather lining really is a nice finishing touch, seeing that many LV bags are lined with canvas Designer Replica Sunglasses Bright, bold and fun colors were (and usually are) found all over the spring runway. There is something that lures me into a simple handbag with a pop of color. Yes, the Prada Cervo Pleat Bag is an ordinary deerskin handbag with a pleated top, but the option of the stunning clear-ocean turquoise color makes this handbag stand out. This blue appears very similar to the Hermes Blue Jean, which is a versatile color that transforms an outfit in a heart beat (yes, I am biased!). The great thing about this Prada Bag is the slouch along with the removable shoulder strap, which gives the option to wear it cross-body. It feels very LA or SoHo. There are open pockets on the side and the dimensions are ample to wear and lug the daily necessities (16 1/2″H x 10″W x 5″D).

This Gucci Bag I am going to introduce is again an important component of Gucci Cruise 2010 Collection. This Gucci “Icon Bit” Large Tote is true to its name for it highlights several Gucci icons like horse-bit detail, D ring detail and studs detail. It is reasonable to say that the GG fabric is also an important icon of this luxury fashion brand. I suppose this bag will be another timeless bag style of Gucci. This Gucci “Icon Bit” Bag is designed in two styles, one is made from beige and ebony GG fabric that trimmed with brown leather trim, and the other is made from patent orange leather. As I see it, the GG fabric bag in typical Gucci pattern is timeless while the orange leather bag can be carried to anywhere anytime. You are the boss to choose the color. Just follow your heart. This Gucci Purse is not only elegant but also functional. Sized at 37 x 16 x 35 cm, the bag is large enough for daily using. Besides the large main compartment, it also has one outsize zip pocket and two inside zip pocket for holding mobile phone and PDA. The exterior zip pocket features horse-bit detail. Whether the bag is made from GG fabric or orange leather, its inside is made of Gucci crest cotton jacquard lining. The bag as a whole is closed by a magnetic snap closure and zip opening at sides. Its double handles with 18 cm drop ensures comfortably carrying or shouldering. Replica Handbags If Gucci‘s accessories designers have anything to say about it, the trend toward handbag minimalism is over, starting with Gucci Spring 2011. Considering last season’s retro-leaning accessories collection and the current trend climate, I expected another line of referential, staid handbags from the Italian brand during its recent presentation in Milan; I was dead wrong. Not only were the clothes bright, bold and more than a tad tropical, but the bags were sexy statement-makers in exotics, metallics and intricate woven leather. Naturally, my favorites were the big carry-all satchels like the one at left.

These leather accessories have become pure

Wednesday, June 1st, 2011

A modern day working woman is easily distinguished by her outfits, confidence and professional accessories like briefcases. These leather accessories have become pure trademarks of those women, who work with multinational companies at high profiles and are seriously committed towards their work. However, being a woman, these professionals have an advantage of adding feminine touch to these leather cases and the result is in the form of variety of briefcases on the basis of shapes, sizes, colors and other features. This Gucci briefcase is one of said bags. Avoiding traditional dark palette, it is crafted out of white leather, perfect to go with dark nickel hardware that setting off its aristocratic complexion and elegant finish. Moreover, white shade is easy to match with any outfit and permeate ingenious beauty that almost each professional woman wishes to achieve. Distinguished from stiff rectangle silhouette, this Gucci briefcase picks more feminine and soft lines to interpret casual even sporty tone. Double handles and adjustable and detachable shoulder strap offer multiple selections to carry this bright stunner. Opening zip-top and push lock closure, three compartments deliver orderly and ideal places for small essentials. Likewise, front zip pocket provides more convenience for daily using belongings. This versatile briefcase is 15″L×7.1″w×10.2″H, spacious enough to hold working documents and a laptop even other items for normal bag using. If you are keen on this briefcase, please do not ask for in the house Designer Replica Purses Marc Jacobs is almost inarguably the king of New York Fashion Week, and his Marc Jacobs Collection show is always the most sought-after invitation of them all (at least stateside). This year, the show livestreamed online to thousands of fans while the editors and buyers looked on in Manhattan, and what a splendid show Marc created to kick off the digital age at his company – if you like a good 70s reference in your spring wardrobe, that is. Jacobs will also join us in the 21st century by launching online retail at MarcJacobs.com today, but you’ll have to wait until next year if you want to scoop up the collection’s fabulously wearable printed dresses and (slightly less fabulous) shiny pantsuits in a palette of plum, pumpkin and raspberry. While you wait patiently, we have photos of the best looks to entice you, after the jump. Oh, and the bags! How could I forget the bags? Jacobs took a refreshing turn back to normalcy this season, and the richly hued day clutch seems to be his bag of choice for spring. From his runway to God’s ears, as they say

Do you want to update your appearance with more brightness and vividness in the coming spring and summer times? Try the polished red Paloma High Heel Open-toe Pumps which would definitely keep you in the trend and even set and utterly fabulous and stylish look to your entire façade. The Gucci Paloma Shoes is coated in the striking coral patent leather which brings great fun and youngness to someone who wears them. No matter where you go, in shopping emporium, night party or grand banquet, the pumps will harmoniously go along with your outfits and let you standing out with sophistication and elegance. Nickel hardware, shiny interlocking G ornament and metal trim on back give the shoes an incredibly delicate as well sumptuous looking. Gucci Belts Louis Vuitton has done it again. They have made a bag that is pricey and highly sought after. Last time I was in Louis Vuitton Bal Harbour I ran into a member of Purse Forum. She was desperately looking for the Mahina, but they were out, as have been many Louis Vuitton boutiques. We reported on the Louis Vuitton Mahina when it was first released (dubbed the Louis Vuitton XL and XXL) and since then there has been Mahina mayhem. But the bags, both in XL and XXL are available in eLuxury right now. The XL costs $3100 while the XXL costs $3900. Told you, expensive, yet understated with the monogram LV and the large slouch. Grab it while you can!
